This is an actual work in progress.  The articles will be written as work is completed.  Given that there are many aspects to such a project and certain things may not be explained adequately, please ask questions if something is not clear (my e-mail address is on the Contact Us page).

With these articles I assume that you have a place to work and that you have some tools to do the job.  In any case, the tools you may not have are inexpensive and, where I used a lathe or milling machine to save time, the same job can often be done by hand. In some cases a lathe or milling machine is needed, for example to cut thread.  If you cannot do this or if you are not confident of doing something by hand, get a machine shop or gunsmith to do that part.

The kitchen table is not a place to work, unless you live alone. I also assume that you have better mechanical abilities than an earthworm and do not have five thumbs on each hand and five big toes on each foot.
