Client Pierre Noel from Tanzania’s son, Fabrice shot this, using my 308 loaded with GS Custom 150gr HV bullets at about 80m.

Velocity is around 2900fps. The bullet went in behind the shoulder broadside on, destroyed the heart and exited on the far side.

The animal ran about 35m and expired.

Out of interest - this load will shoot sub 12mm groups in this rifle.

I shot this old boy with my 308 this season using the same 150gr GS Custom HV bullets as mentioned before.

The horns are both broomed at the top, but still measured 52 ½” .

The bullet went in high in the neck, shattered the vertebra and exited. Range was about 40m.

Fallow deer hunted by my son Colin 2 years back with my colleague Jason Peetz who PH’s for me part time.

Hunted in EC, range 180m.

Colin used my 308, loaded with 150gr GSC HV bullets.
